This recipe serves 2.
Fresh turmeric 4cm piece, peeled
Fresh ginger 2cm piece, peeled
1/2 cup coconut milk or unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground cardamom
1/8 tsp black pepper (or around 5 peppercorns)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup to taste
pinch of salt
Throw all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth (a Nutribullet works well). Split mixture between two cups and pour over hot water to fill. Dust with cinnamon and enjoy! Any leftover turmeric mix can be kept in the fridge and used within 2 days.
